iThenticate

The iThenticate anti-plagiarism programme developed by Turnitin is a tool for verifying the originality of publications. The programme compares submitted texts with an extensive database of scientific papers.

The program also includes a new functionality that allows you to compare a document with 5 others at the same time. A similarity report will be generated for the uploaded file in relation to the other uploaded documents.

For individual access, please contact us at biuro.biblioteka@upwr.edu.pl.

If you would like to obtain individual access or if you have any questions, please contact us at biuro.biblioteka@upwr.edu.pl.

Please note: the number of accounts and documents is limited (UPWr has 100 accounts with the possibility of checking up to 400 documents in total by all users). The programme is intended for checking scientific publications in English, in their final version before sending them to journal publishers indexed in databases such as Journal Citation Reports, WoS, Scopus. Only authored or co-authored scientific papers should be verified. The iThenticate programme is most effective for texts written in English due to the extensive reference database in that language. Due to the limited pool of checking reports, please use the programme with caution. Each subsequent upload of a file reduces the available pool. The word limit for a file is 25,000. Exceeding this is treated by iThenticate as uploading another document. In particular, we ask to not check articles already published in 2022 or older, theses (bachelor's, master's, engineering, postgraduate), dissertations, doctoral theses or full texts of monographst hrough iThenticate. UPWr account administrators have access to the documents checked by users.
