Account closing

Full-time and part-time students are accounted for through clearance slips available in the USOS system.

In special cases, it is possible to obtain a certificate of no arrears from the library (or a scan of it).

In order to settle account with the Library, you must:

  • return the borrowed books,
  • pay any fees for overdue/lost materials

Clearance slips are activated at the Dean's Office of the Faculty concerned. The Library settles accounts after receiving information about the upload of data in USOS. The slips are cleared progressively; during semester end periods, the waiting time may increase slightly.

To check whether clearing has occurred with the Library, open your slip in USOS:

  1. If there are no arrears in your library account, the slip is accepted.
  2. If there is a liability to the Library, the slip remains unsettled. Acceptance in USOS will take place after all materials have been returned and any debts have been settled, so please communicate this to the Library and request for settlement.
  3. No response in USOS from the Library means that your library account has not yet been checked out. Please be patient or contact the Library for urgent matters.
