The theme for Naturalists' Days 2019 was bees. The Library joined in the celebration in Pawlowice under the motto 'In the library as in the apiary'.
We presented books on bee keeping, the cultivation of honey plants and the production of honey. We demonstrated its miraculous properties and the advantages of bee products by presenting homemade cosmetics based on these ingredients. We handed out leaflets with recipes for our cosmetics, tinctures, drinks, honey cakes and "home pharmacy medicines" to eager visitors, of whom there was no shortage. The biggest hit at the stall was the bread we baked (we ran out of recipes for it very quickly).
Children were invited to play board games, do jigsaw puzzles, picture blocks, solve puzzles, rebuses and mazes – all starring a bee, of course. On the occasion of Mother's Day, the children had the opportunity to design and make a floral laurel for their mothers.
