"Coffee fun in the library" – this was the motto under which the Main Library once again joined in the annual 'Naturalists' Days' organised by Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences. Visitors to our stand were invited to enjoy a cup of good coffee, brewed in several ways, and treats prepared by us. Over a cup of coffee, visitors to our stand could learn about the history of the first cafés, with a special focus on the cafés of Wrocław, in one-liners specially prepared for the occasion. We also presented a collection of photographs of crockery and equipment for preparing and drinking coffee and chocolate.
We encouraged people to pick up leaflets specially prepared for the occasion: "Coffee Fantasies for Beauty" and "Chocolate Fantasies for Beauty", i.e. how to use chocolate and coffee in a home spa, as well as recipes for different ways to brew coffee at home.
We invited people to take part in coffee quizzes and competitions. "Enchant a book with a new bookmark" – a workshop for children combined with a competition for the prettiest bookmark. The most interesting entries were rewarded with board games. The "bookmark" table was so popular that it was still besieged long after the competition was resolved.
