The Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences has already supported the funding of more than 175 scientific publications this year.
Employees and PhD students of the university can obtain funding for publications and monographs. For the current edition of the programme, these are articles published in 2022, in a journal with at least 100 ministerial points and quartile Q1 or Q2, or a monographs with 200 points. The amount awarded is additionally influenced by other criteria described in the Regulations. The university values international cooperation and student participation in publications.
What publications were supported?
According to the Regulations, the amount allocated for publications was 1,500,000 PLN. By 1.09.2022, the library had accepted 179 applications amounting to PLN 1,433,407.32. 76% of papers were published in the MDPI. Most scientific articles were published in Animals (23), International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health (16), Molecules (15), International Journal of Molecular Sciences (12) and Sustainability (11). Most of the articles by authors affiliated to UPWr were published in journals assigned 140 pts. (74) and 100 pts. (95) in the list of Ministry of Science and Education in Poland. Most of the publications appeared in journals included in Q1 (113). Almost 33% of the publications were written in international collaboration (57) and almost 25% in co-authorship with students (41). Of the latter, more than 50% were published in Q1 journals (24).
